Procedures and Guidelines
MEP Research Accounts

Procedures and guidelines for academic institutions accepted into the MOSIS Educational Program, and have received their MEP research account parameters from MOSIS.

Account Term and Responsibility
Each professor needs to establish an account, and is responsible for administering their own account. Unlike instructional accounts, there is no set expiration date for research accounts. MOSIS may suspended an account if it is inactive for a period of time.

Change Project After Its Been Approved
MOSIS grants approval to one chip per proposal. If any feature of the design changes (as, size, process, packaging) you will need to send a revised proposal. See Procedures and guidelines for writing and submitting a proposal. Be sure to reference in the body of the e-mail message which proposal you are revising.

Reactivate An Expired Proposal
Proposals approved for fabrication are assigned a Proposal ID Code. Each code is valid for 12 months. If the chip design process can not be completed within 12 months from the date of proposal approval, then the proposal must be resubmitted. Resubmit the proposal as origionally written, and include the Proposal ID Code along with your account number in the accompanying e-mail message to support@mosis.com.

Change Liaison
Send your change account liaison request to support@mosis.com. Include the account number and current password, the name of the out-going professor, the comlete name, address, phone number, fax number, and e-mail address of the new liaison. Ideally, the message should be sent by the out-going professor.

Request Access to Vendor Rules and Documents
Procedures and guidelines to obtain access to vendor rules and documents. The request must come from the account liaison.

Reactivate Document Access
Document access is granted for a term not to exceed 12 months. To extend the term, complete and mail the Academic Account Document Access Application to MOSIS. In some instances, a Mini-Proposal may be requested.

Lost Password or Account Number
Send your request to support@mosis.com. Include your account number. This request must come from the account liaison.

Reporting Requirements
All participants in the MOSIS Educational Program are required to submit a report for each design submitted for fabrcation.

Reports submitted via the MOSIS Report Submission Form do not satisfy the requirements for MEP Research test reporting. Please see MEP Research Reporting Requirements.
