Submit A Design
Fabricate Request
The Fabricate Web form is the second in the three-part submission
process. Here, you tell MOSIS about your layout and how you're going
to send it. MOSIS recommends you have the following information
readily available before you start to fill out the Fabricate request
form.
-
Go to the
Fabricate Web form. Answer the questions in the "Required
Parameters" and "Layout Parameters" sections.
You can change or answer questions you missed when you sent your
New Project
Web form. Your new answer will overwrite your earlier entry. Refer
to your printed Current
Status to see what you've already sent.
|
-
When you get to the "To Send Your Design to MOSIS" section, stop.
Since you will need to return to this screen, start your FTP
connection or program in a separate window.
If you are running a PC, you can run the FTP program that came with
the MS
Windows operating system.
a) From your PC, click START, select RUN, then for
Windows XP or 2000, enter "cmd"
Windows 98, ME, or 85, enter "command"
b) Change directory (cd) to where your layout file is located.
c) At the prompt, enter "ftp" To see a list of FTP commands,
enter "help"
|
-
In your FTP program, open an FTP session to
ftp.design.mosis.com
When your FTP program makes the connection, it will display on the
screen your IP address. Make a note of that IP address.
Do NOT log in yet.
Return to the Fabricate Request web form, and type the IP address (the
one displayed in your FTP program) in the "FTP Send Host" field.
-
Provide a unique password for the "FTP Send Password" field.
For security reasons, this password should be different from your
account and design passwords.
-
Type the name of the file (and path if you did not start your FTP
session in the directory containing the file) in the "FTP Send
Filename" field.
You can leave the "FTP Send Hours" field blank.
-
Hit the Submit button. If you receive a request to provide more
information, use the back button on your browser to return to the
previous screen. Provide the missing information as well as all
password fields (design password, FTP send password), then submit your
request.
When your request has been approved, you will receive instructions
to start your FTP session.
